I give the postal service NO stars but I was forced to give one star to get this posted: I mailed an item and incurred it for $2000. It could not be tracked after it presumably left the post office. I kept hoping it would be found, and then finally filed a claim. The claim was denied, and the reason was that I filed the claim too late. I was never told that I must file within 60 days of mailing the package but after 2 weeks of mailing, i.e., within 45 days. You find that out after you file the claim! This is fraudlent.
Lesson learned: don't use a government funded organization for quick reliable delivery; stick with private companies such as UPS or FedEx.
Before going to this post office I read (not so good) reviews about this place but since it was closest one and does not require prior appointment for the passport services plus they have onsite photo facility I decided to go there.
I seriously feel like the guy behind the counter is going to shoot everyone in the place. Angry and unstable. Lashing out at customers and other employees. I’m actually concerned he may hurt himself or someone soon. He also didn’t seem to have much support from the other staff there. Im waiting a very long time just to pick up a package. Another employee came to help me, took my slip and never came back. I’m writing this because I have nothing else to do while I wait at the counter. It’s been over ten minutes since she took my slip. To be continued...
I'm giving this place 1 star because the guy who took my package was completely rude and very condescending. I honestly can't believe he is in customer service he was just so miserable and you can tell he hated his life. No reason to be rude to your customers. I actually left that place feeling worse than when I came in. The other tall guy I went to previously was much nicer.
I have been to this post office on Saturday too and it gets crowded because of the above reasons (No appointment required for passport services and photo onsite)
UPS transferred a package to this USPS office on Dec 9th for home delivery. On Dec 14th, I stopped at the post office to try and pick up my important package, but USPS customer service said they would be unable to find my package even with the tracking number I provided. USPS indicated they are scanning 22 hours a day and it will get there when it gets there. Today is Dec 16th and no package.
Great service . I went there on Thursday afternoon for my newborn's passport and I was out from the post office within 15 mins. Not to mention the representative ensure that she get a good picture of my child.
Plus they make you actually buy your own tape there if you need to just one string of tape to re-tape something. It's ridiculous in my opinion because all the post offices I went to had tape ready for you. Place just seemed very unorganized.
