i've eaten at teca before, and the food was good. however, i recently attended an event hosted by teca. it was for a social club i'm in, and it was our date party. it was $60 a person, $120 a couple. teca hosted the event in their upper level. however, it seemed as though the restaurant (teca) did everything they could do to charge us the most while doing the least. firstly, the food selection was sub-par. there was only one appetizer being served; squares of margarita pizza. there was a dinner buffet, but it only had three options; salad, penne (which made a lot of people gassy), and chicken parmesan. you were only allowed one piece of the chicken parmesan. no dessert was served. furthermore, there was not enough seating. many of us had to eat leaning on the bar, or sitting on stairs. just a reminder that tickets for this event were $60! also, the bar drinks were watered down and overpriced. they were a dollar above regular bar price. my friend asked for a drink served without ice because of a sensitive teeth issue, and the bar tender tried charging him more for a drink without ice. i danced a lot and i had a really good date, so i had a good time by the end of the night. however, it was very obvious to me that teca was trying to get the most money out of us possible while putting the least amount of effort and cost into the event. do not have an event here, they will probably do to you what they did to us.

The Father-Son team of Alberto and Roberto Guadagnini own and operate this local gem. Located in eclectic Newtown Square, Teca is an amazing restaurant. According to their website, their name is derived from two words. The First, Paninoteca (Panini Bar), refers to their more light fare and Italian Tapas style dining. The second word, Enoteca (Wine Bar) refers to their award-winning wine list. Now, in addition to the light fare menu, Teca has developed into a full-service restaurant featuring West Chester’s most delectable entrées with inspiration from all regions of Italy. The Mezzanine at Teca is the space for hosting private events such as Rehearsal Dinners, Business Groups, Cocktail Parties and events of all kinds. This space can accommodate up to 200 persons.
Good food, but not certain you can't find similar quality Italian elsewhere in West Chester. They are accommodating to dietary allergies or choices which is very nice.
DO NOT HAVE EVENTS OR PAY TO ATTEND EVENTS HERE!
I had the chicken al mattone "underbrick" with sweet garlic, lemon rosemary jus and it was amazing. The outside tables are great for people watching when it's warm.
